NextGen Patient Portal CCD Service

• The CCD Service is now available in two versions: 32-bit and 64-bit, to match your system configuration. If your Rosetta installation is 32-bit, you use the 32-bit CCD Service. If your Rosetta installation is 64-bit, you use the 64-bit CCD Service.
• A practice-level flag controls which portal workflow handles CCD requests. If the PCJ flag is enabled, only PCJ portal workflows are processed. If the PCJ flag is disabled, only Medfusion portal workflows are processed. This enables smooth transitions between systems without service disruption.
• PCJ-enabled practices now fully support Medical Summary (MSU), patient-requested CCDs by date or date range, and Data Share-generated CCDs. These workflows are processed through the NextGen Patient Portal. The system automatically marks out-of-scope request types such as Enrollment and Locked Encounter as Failed at the database level. This eliminates invalid processing and prevents silent failures, ensuring that only valid requests are processed and problematic ones are clearly flagged.
• In NextGen Enterprise EHR, Continuity of Care Documents (CCDs) now comply with ONC certification and Cures Act interoperability standards. The CCDA Procedure section now includes the required Status column. Additionally, duplicate entries in both the Plan of Treatment section and the Reason for Referral section have been removed.

Note: PxP Portal practices continue to process all CCD request types without any changes to their current workflow.

The default value for the XML key, Export_Billable_Encounter is updated to "Yes". The existing default value will be overridden with the new build upgrade in the default XMLs.

Note: You must update the default value for practice level XMLs manually.
